Along the Isar river
The Logivest-Team discovers the oldest transport route in Munich

Team Event Floßfahrt Einhorn

The weather was great, the mood even better: On the hottest day of this year, Logivest's employees were on a traditional wooden raft along the Isar river from Wolfratshausen to Munich. There was nothing missing on the raft, besides a good snack, a band provided the musical entertainment for the colleagues from Munich, Nuremberg, Stuttgart and Cologne. And when it got too warm for the employees in the sun, the Isar offered a pleasant cooling.

But with all the fun, the connection to logistics was not lost sight of. From the 12th century onwards, when the city of Munich was founded, the Isar was for a long time the most important transport route for goods, handicrafts and people. In the 19th century, increasing rail traffic finally heralded the end of rafting - we are delighted to have gained an insight into this traditional transport route!
