scheck cx kay herschelmann 700pxFor six years in a row, the ‘Logistics on the move’ initiative has shown that exercise can do more than just improve fitness. Between July and September 2025, logistics-oriented companies from all over Germany covered over 125,000 kilometres by running, cycling, hiking, skating or swimming – and raised an impressive €54,850 for the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation.

As in the previous year, the donation cheque was presented together with all participating companies at the BVL Supply Chain CX in Berlin. Kuno Neumeier, initiator of ‘Logistik in Bewegung’ and CEO of Logivest, together with Bora Argac, CCO Germany at Hellmann Logistics and a partner from the very beginning, presented the cheque to Karin Neumeier, Chair of the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation, on behalf of all participants.

The foundation supports young people up to the age of 49 throughout Germany who have lost their life partner, as well as children, teenagers and young adults who are mourning the loss of one or both parents. Andy Eder, professional ice hockey player with Eisbären Berlin, Eisbären managing director Thomas Bothstede and Karin Neumeier discussed the importance of this work and how to deal with such a tragic loss in a talk with Sky presenter Michael Leopold. At the beginning of the year, Tobias Eder, Andy's brother and also a professional player with Eisbären Berlin, died after a serious illness.

Karin Neumeier expressed her deep admiration for the solidarity and commitment shown by the logistics companies: ‘We are very touched to see how the industry is once again standing up for us and those who are grieving this year – despite the challenging economic situation! On behalf of the entire foundation, we would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who has participated with such dedication and compassion.’

‘In times of economic uncertainty, it is all the more important to show humanity and stick together. I am very proud that our industry is once again demonstrating such great commitment this year and actively supporting the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation,’ said Kuno Neumeier.

As part of the ‘Logistics in Motion’ initiative, employees of logistics-related companies from all over Germany collected kilometres – regardless of the sport they practised. Every kilometre covered contributed to a good cause. The companies themselves decided how much they wanted to donate per kilometre. Participants recorded their sporting activities with photos from pedometers or fitness apps – and provided additional motivation and team spirit on social media under the hashtag #LogistikinBewegung.

The following companies took part in the campaign in 2025, exercising for a good cause and/or making donations: Four Parx, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, Loxxess AG, Mainblick, P3 Logistic Parks, TST, Logivisor and Logivest GmbH.
